HEALTHY BALANCEThis class is a low intensity cardio and full body strengthening class that is hel in the shallow and deep ends. The goal of this class is to keep the body moving. HIGH INTENSITY INTERVALThis class is an interval workout in water that will include plyometric work with exercises such as bouncing, skipping, jump squats and speed drills in shallow water. This is a fantastic way to get a dynamic workout with lots of energy while giving your joints less stress and some recovery from land work such as running and land plyometric drills. A water bottle is recommended. HYDRO RUNNINGHydro running is a modified, non- impact form of running done in place in deep water wearing a flotation belt (no swimming is involved). It entails simulating running motions with your arms and legs using the water as resistance to add challenge to the workout. Routines learned in class mimic land running and include imagined cross country courses, interval training, hill pacing, springs and speed work. SHALLOW WATER FITNESSA great exercise program using water resistance to develop muscle tone, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness and general well- being. The warm water eliminates any pounding pressure on joints while providing a stimulating workout. Routines are done to popular music and exercises concentrate on both lower and upper body. STRETCH & TONEThis program is designed to provide an opportunity for people to exercise in a heated pool, meet friends and have fun. It is a self help program of exercise designed to maintain and improve range of motion of joints and strengthen muscles. Any adult may participate provided they are capable of climbing in and out of a pool, change clothing and provide their own transportation.
